Nursing students need to write and communicate professionally as part of the foundation of their practice

Whether you are writing content for a paper or a discussion post, you need to think about the mechanics of writing . When you present your thoughts , try to imagine your audience and how they are reading what you wrote? What image do they have of you as a person from the words you use and the organization of the writing? Does it matter if you spell things right and use the right punctuation? What about using slang or “street language”? Are those forms of writing acceptable in the nursing student diaglogue?
